    This Transient Life


    This is one of the best films I have ever seen. The juxtaposition of the sacred and profane made for one of the most thought provoking experiences I have had with a piece of art in a long time. I found the cinematography to be so engaging and inspiring. The use of odd angles and movement adds so much life to every scene - which of course only strengthens the emotional displays of everyone involved. Masao and Ogino's conflicting philosophies births such a magnificent meditation on the complex relationships between human law, motivation, desire, and fear. I will be thinking about this movie a lot.
