A solid impotence thriller! (new categorization i'm workin on of action movies for guys whose whole thing is "if i beat up enough people my son will finally call me dad and my wife will fuck me again")

Odenkirk is great here! I know we're all shocked that HE'S the star of an action movie, but– he's a handsome white guy! Every one gets at least one (1) action movie. Even if you're funny. Especially if you're funny! People love…

Nobody is a 90-minute action orgasm.

Holy, bonkers! Nobody is the action film we don’t deserve, but we sure as hell need. Bob Odenkirk is a certified action stud. I could watch the fight on the bus on infinite loop.

Just watch! Nobody ain’t no joke!! Meow!!

I am not a dad. I will not be anytime soon, if ever. But this is such a dad movie and I absolutely loved it.

    It’s funny.
    It’s violent.
    It’s glorious.
    It’s an event.
It’s the best thing to come out of 2021 so far.

They better call the sequel “Somebody” or I won’t watch it(just kidding I totally will even if it’s called something horrible like “No2ody”)

you will believe that Bob Odenkirk can kick some fucking ass and then some after watching Nobody, a film that is just a gleefully violent blast of an action film. yes the immediate comparisons will be with John Wick, no surprise as the writer of those films Derek Kolstad, also wrote Nobody, and yes he does crib some plot points from his own film in this, a retired asskicker getting back into it, russian mobsters and some others, but the…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

"I guess they were zombies all along" ...

Not exactly subtle, are you, Jim?

I get what he was going for; I just think there's a better way to make the point, than producing 'anti-entertainment' entertainment that demonstrates contempt for audiences by giving them what they enjoy in the laziest way possible. If they accept it, you get to sit back in satisfaction and claim that you were right - but if they reject it, you have the safety of pretending that they just didn't understand...

That's called stacking the deck, and it's very uninspired.

This adaptation of the video game of the same name is a film that asks a number of profound questions, such as:

How do you assemble a cast that includes Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, Michelle Rodriguez, Meat Loaf and Billy Zane, yet none of them manage to turn in an even vaguely decent performance?

How do you shoot a film in Romania, one of the most beautiful European countries, and end up with it looking so ugly and washed out?…

Upon the death of their "gatekeeper", zombies imported from Haiti sedated for a century are unleashed onto the Welsh countryside. Several tourists and soldier escaping detainment hole up in a woodland shack in a bid for survival.

As if writer-director Darren Ripley was strong-armed into making a film from a hat-pick and drew "zombie movie". A story beaten to death over a non-stop music loop, '90s first-person shooter sound effects, and same extras in different clothes killed over-and-over. The cast…

This was very good, but I feel like I need to see it again before doing a full review. Video coming soon on this.

It’s not as fun as the Dark Knight trilogy, but isn’t trying to be. It’s going for a slower, more investigative tone, with great writing, impeccable direction, jaw-dropping worldbuilding of Gotham - especially the gothic architecture -…
