might’ve just been the finest movie at this year’s oscars for me. Guillermo del Toro’s gothic craft reaches new heights of elegant tragedy and melancholic beauty while paying homage to old hollywood fare. seductive and filled with still images such as its very last laugh that have haunted me since. Bradley Cooper is without a doubt one of the greats and made for roles like this one.
