Ken B’s review published on Letterboxd:
Part 3 was seemingly made with the aim of milking the 3D fad that was sweeping Hollywood in the early 80s. It is reassuring to know that 3D was as pointless back then as it is now. Aside from spear throwing and eye popping we are treated to some frivolous Yo-Yo action and scene where two characters are juggling apples for longer than they need to be.
Visual gimmicks aside, there are some serious pacing problems with this entry. The previous two films delviered gore thick and fast, there are too many false scares in this film and the bikers feel like they are only there to fill time. Once Jason finally dons his famous hockey mask the film does pick up the pace and a more eventful final half hour at least comes as some form of redemption. Friday the 13th Part 3 is a flawed film that has its moments.
