    "Let them up!"

Wow. What this movie pulls off, especially practically, with a budget of around 150 mil really puts all the big blockbusters in perspective. Really shows that all that matters first is that you have the heart of the story and your vision set in order in order to make an exhilarating movie.

  • Promising Young Woman

    Promising Young Woman

Entertaining, if i may call it that? But really don't get the award buzz i'm seeing around it.
I haven't really liked Carey Mulligan in other films but she sold her performance here.

    One Night in Miami...

Sometimes i wonder if everything leading up to the room was necessary, though sometimes i think i would've wanted that build if there actually wasn't any, just wish it was more gripping.
But the acting and writing were both so entertaining and humbling at the same time throughout that i don't even care about anything else.

    Another Round

Mads just gives such a likeable performance that it's impossible not to smile when you see him do well.
I wonder what the next movie will be to end with a dancing sequence, but this easily beats out jojorabbit.

  • La La Land

    La La Land

Can say now that i've seen la la land on a big screen. They put it up for valentine's week and couldn't not go even though i had to go alone.
Hope this was a sing-along screening otherwise i would have really pissed off some of the people in the theatre.

Had Pizza and Pasta while watching.

"Do you do that because you're not allowed to run?"

A korean family struggles to get by in rural america. Through that you see a father working hard to succeed at something, a mother, perturbed by place in life right now, two young kids learning and taking in what's happening around them, and a grandma, being a real grandma.

It's not easy to portray family drama and struggles on screen due to so many reasons. There's a fine line between…

  • Malcolm & Marie

    Malcolm & Marie

This is the most fun i've had watching a movie in a long time. It was such a breezy watch. JDW left a sour taste in my mouth after tenet but boy i'm just in love with him in this movie. Even Zendaya, someone i'm not usually big on was great to watch.
Reviewing this movie would be very ironical so i wouldn't say a lot, only that would've been great if this movie ended with nicole kidman saying "fuck".

  • The Little Things

    The Little Things

The editing in the first act seemed really choppy and was taking me out of the movie constantly but seemed to simmer down by the end.

Don't think it was a waste watch. But nothing seemed extraordinary, just enjoyable.
The end didn't make me gasp, though it was surprising.

Heard about it, but still didn't expect Riz Ahmed's performance to get to me this much.
They're two very different things, but as far as being awed by the acting is concerned, i feel the same i felt after i finished watching Uncut Gems. Just hope this isn't overlooked.
