As the poet called Shrek once said, this movie has layers, like onions.
The first time I saw the film, I found it entertaining, not bad, but not good either.
Only when I looked under the surface the second time did I realize how much I love it. All parts fit perfectly together to create a simple, but effective story without wasting your time. There's always something hidden every scene, dialogue or cinematography that adds to the themes it wants to present. I think this is the Magnum Opus of Bong Joon-Hoo. I'm so happy this movie won Best Picture.
