Ridley Scott's Last Duel is a Medieval tale exposing the cruel treatment of women through the traumatic experience of our protagonist. The story is very simple in what it tells and what it aims to uncover. The tone is very dark and cold capturing the gruesome environment our main character is subjected to, the film manages to entertain through its long runtime and intrigue the audience. The movie is divided into different chapters in which we discover the different perspectives…

An emotional conclusion to a beloved franchise. This chapter focuses on Doctor Swann's past and her relationship with Bond with an emphasis on his human and fragile side while also focusing on the action genre aspect. Well written and connected to the former movies of the franchise, beautifully shot, good action sequences, and filled with sentimental moments. Highly entertaining, Rami Malek is good as a villain although he seems a bit underused, and Daniel Graig is amazing as usual.

Besides Jake Gyllenhaal's performance, nothing is appealing about this remake, the script is quoting the original word by word and doesn't differ from it in any way. In short, stop remaking foreign films that are already great.
