Does a lot of things that were perfected in FINAL CHAPTER, I think. The vast majority of the gags don't do anything in 2D and the film is sometimes out of focus because of the 3D camera as well. It's also a much lighter movie than the first 2, for the most part, which is a bit of a surprise. Still, it has a great energy, Shelly is a gift to cinema and Brooker's Jason is top-notch. Some all-time franchise moments here, particularly Andy's handstand death. That whole final chase in the raging storm is pretty much the epitome of FRIDAY THE 13TH.
