Film Club Secret Cinema: Round 8 - Alternate Film
Burning is a film that must be watched very carefully, going into every detail. This film does not try to burden the viewer with unnecessary exposition, it has very few dialogs and little to no action. Instead, you should enjoy each frame while the director throws the details of the puzzle one by one, and you patiently assemble a picture from it.
Burning is a very meditative and poetic film. The cinematography in it is like a song that satisfies your great hunger, filling your soul with spirit.
Burning is a flame. Not a raging fire that destroys everything it touches in a few seconds, but a slow, boiling flame that first appears in the form of a spark, slowly grabs you from the corner and burns until you leave only flying ash.
