natergate’s review published on Letterboxd:
A bit too sprawling and seemingly preconditioned to an air of overall tonal defunct. Campos’ razor sharp tedium seems to be somewhat absent for the duration of the film. I think I’m in the minority with being slightly underwhelmed with Pattinson’s performance in the scope of things. There was a lot of talent procured in the casting department, some that seemed to go wasted. Holland’s performance was the central dynamic that I feel grounded the morally errant story for the most part. In the end violence begets violence unto a more frustrating tale than a rewarding one.
