A Quiet Place Part II

A Quiet Place Part II ★★★★½

It's clear with A Quiet Place Part II that John Krasinski has only grown as a director. An extremely tense, brilliantly executed sequel that ups the ante and broadens the scale. There's been so many times where sequels always try to go bigger with their scope and fail, but with this sequel Krasinski succeeds with this method while never losing sight of what made the first film so great. Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy are both excellent but the true stars of the film are Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe who even outshine their veteran co-stars. I did the feel that the first film was a bit neater in terms of structure and that it had a better flow, but this is still without a doubt a worthy sequel. I can't wait to see what Krasinski does next.
