Sadistic, unabashedly violent, darkly hilarious Ready or Not is easily one of the biggest surprises of the year and easily one of the best times I've had in the theater all year. Samara Weaving is electric onscreen and hopefully it's this performance that'll finally get her on her way to becoming a star. The rest of the cast is also extremely solid with Adam Brody giving a worthwhile performance. The film is never ever boring and while it does go in some directions that are predictable, I honestly didn't see some of the film's major twists coming. Please go out and see this one, especially over some of the other horror movies out right now.
