  …..and the very next scene he’s in a public restaurant not hiding his identity at all, while talking about how he loves drinking blood.

  The phrase “show me, don’t tell me,” is used all the time when talking about films. Such a simple thing, yet can be so impactful in a film. Especially in a certain type of film, such as La La Land. When you take a concept like Inception, let’s just say, that’s a movie you’d need to be told just as much as shown.…

  The flashback scenes of Rocket were legitimately perfect. There’s nothing I can say that you haven’t already read on this app, but I’m in complete agreement. The current timeline, ehhhhhh. The High Evolutionary’s final fate was disappointing as well. I know I’m on the minority on both of those opinions.

  However, the Rocket elements are truly phenomenal, and really carry the film. To me, James Gunn has entered the amount Rushmore of comic book movie directors - even if I don’t love this as much as most.

  I can definitely see why this movie is so personal and comforting to a lot of people. Unfortunately it didn’t resonate with me completely. An easy and fun watch, but nothing particularly stood above for me.
