“It's time, Robby! It's time! They knew and they let happen - to kids! Okay? It could've been you, it could've been me, it could've been any of us!”
This movie is flat out incredible. When I think of a biopic, this is what I’ll think of from now on. It has perfect storytelling of real life events, with so many great moments. I’m so thrilled that this film won Best Picture, because it absolutely deserves it. I think it’s easily one of the best movies of the decade.
It’s so rewarding as the audience to see so much talent on screen. There’s a ton of recognizable actors in this film, but most specifically the big trio of Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, and Rachael McAdams. I’m a sucker for fantastic casts, and a great cast always elevates a film.
After my second viewing, I was blown away by everything this movie is and continues to be. For a biopic that tackles such a disturbing, sensitive, and important subject, it does nearly everything right. I can see this being in my favorite films after another watch.
