Well...I didn't absolutely love it and it's not for any reason to do with the film specifically lacking anything. It looked fantastic, Saoirse was BRILLIANT in all the ways, and it conveys restless angst perfectly from a teenage girl's perspective - for that, I value it immensely! I think that just on a personal level, I didn't find myself relating a whole lot to what what going on in her life, especially with her parents. It didn't ruin my experience on the whole, but I did feel sort of detached for a majority of the film. That said, I'm beyond stoked for what Gerwig creates next, cause the energy and heart in "Lady Bird" stands out from all the rest of 2017, and we need more!!!
