Yet again, I think people are too bothered taking Aanand L. Rai/Himanshu Sharma's subgenre of cinema literally. A lot of the conversation around this film was dominated by how regressive and problematic and tone-deaf it is because of the protagonist's (and other characters') constant belittling of his three less-than-moderately-pretty sisters. But I think these same critics are looking at it from a very progressive (dare I say, SoBo lol) stance when the film couldn't be more obvious about showing this…

You know a movie is good when it gets you cheering and clapping inside your home at 11:30 PM

"Mister, I was born for it."

Imperfect and dragged out and way too long and I still wouldn't have it any other way. Reminiscent of one of those dreams where it's just one long feeling of fall and descent into an endless hole of darkness. One of the best, bleakest, nastiest tales brought to life in the most nasty, bleak, gorgeous way imaginable. Del Toro is a god among men.
