Happy Twin Peaks day everyone! ☕

No better way to celebrate a national holiday like this than by rewatching that perfect pilot episode. A staggeringly atmospheric 90 minute study on grief and the shock that comes with it. Never noticed before how well Lynch captures the neo-noir/classic noir hybrid style, the whole thing feels like a picturesque dream on the cusp of exploding into a nightmare. Not to mention just how perfectly it sets up every single plotline and character arc without feeling even a little bit out of place. So fucking good, seriously. Makes me wanna rewatch Season 1 again, which I just might now!
