Songs in the key of death.
No joke... Marc Price might be the most realistic portrayal of an average loser metalhead teenager I’ve ever seen—he’s great in this... a totally believable non caricature of a caricature, and as a teenager who used to listen to as much slayer/sabbath/venom as I did wu tang/a tribe called quest/nas and get beatdowns piled on me for it by every clique in high school, I really appreciated the leads vulnerability. Plus elm street style electric ghost warrior sammi curr is great too, spewing electric bolts and shred melting people.
The violence in this, especially the bullying took me off guard... it’s pretty in your face and the Ragman gets it real hard in this. The chase scene in the high school is an all timer, the loser who slips on the spilled mop juice and went sailing down the stairs has me howlin lol. The main bully with the dolph lundgren haircut was such a dickhead and gets what he deserves, numerous times! Plus Glen Morgan, Christopher Young, gene simmons (who's really good in his big Wolfman jack scene), and preacher ozzy lol.
I dunno guys... I see so many folks shit all over this thing but if you ask me it’s one of the best/most fun elm street rip-offs out there and I regret not revisiting this sooner—I’m totally throwing this on again in October and I’m glad I scooped up the dvd (terrible fucking cover on it) for two bucks.
The thing that triggered sammi curr to his demise was being called a poser lmao—the only true way to defeat a metalhead.
6-6-crush!
