Ryan Swen’s review published on Letterboxd:
Days of Heaven is a strange film to process for me. The only film of Malick's I've seen previously is Badlands, and I did feel traces of it in the final scenes with Gere's character, but the rest did feel rather different. Regardless, the film is an absolute masterpiece, with some of the most beautiful cinematography ever captured and some delightfully restrained acting by Gere, Shepard, Manz, and Adams. It is the kind of film where, like most great films, you recognize its greatness but also realize that there is so much more for you to get.
