• Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

Honestly what a fucking amazing movie! 3.2 average rating? Pfft please! A group of badass women coming together to fight Ewan McGregor, amazing! Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, the most fantabulously perfect thing to exist! I will defend this film till the day I die! Love it so much! So sad that we’ll never get a follow up with all the same characters but we have this and I am so grateful that it exists!

  • Ron's Gone Wrong

    Ron's Gone Wrong

Yeah this film’s fine. I genuinely don’t have a lot to say about it because I think it’s a very generic film that has good messages, moments and bright animation. But I didn’t laugh once and was just mainly annoyed by Ron because he just doesn’t be quiet. But yeah it has cool and heartfelt moments with nice animation, kids will absolutely love it, Olivia Colman voices a crazy Grandmother so that was fun. But yeah nothing more to say with this one! I just thought it was okay.

  • National Theatre Live: Fleabag

    National Theatre Live: Fleabag

This is perhaps my favourite thing in the world! This and the TV series is just perfect! This is my second time watching this play and every second is perfection! Phoebe Waller-Bridge is phenomenal at everything she does! I mean it’s literally just her and a chair on stage for 80 minutes and yet it’s perhaps the best piece of theatre out there! If you love the show and haven’t seen this then you have to watch it! And for those who have never seen anything to do with Fleabag, go watch it! Just perfect, perfect, perfect!

  • Eternals

Perhaps the MCU’s most underrated film to date! It baffles me that critics consider this film to be worse than The Incredible Hulk! And why? I genuinely don’t understand what this film gets so wrong for it to be that low rated! But I am glad that more people like Eternals than don’t because I think it’s a stunning film! So instead of writing my usual review, I’m going to go through each of the Eternals and briefly go over my…

  • Hotel Transylvania: Transformania

    Hotel Transylvania: Transformania

The Hotel Transylvania franchise is perhaps one of the most enjoyable animated properties to exist! I am a huge fan of the first three movies and I was looking forward to this fourth and final instalment! And while I still had a great time watching it, I can’t help but feel like something is missing!

It is, however, a very solid film with a nice structure and consistent pace! Kids are going to absolutely love this film because it’s a very…

  • The Father

    The Father

What an absolutely incredible film! This has been on my radar for some time now and I finally got round to seeing it, I only wish I hadn’t waited this long! Because the care and genius that this film holds is something to be recognised by everyone!

I just really applaud Florian Zeller for crafting something unforgettable! His work here is some of the most impressive directing I’ve ever seen! He knows what his audience wants to feel and I…

  • The Lost Daughter

    The Lost Daughter

Of course, the main reason I chose to watch this film was for the outstanding Olivia Colman! And also Dakota Johnson and Jessie Buckley, but mainly Olivia Colman! But as the film unravels it becomes this intense psychological drama with so many layers to it! You would never have guessed that this was Maggie Gyllenhaal’s first feature film!

So yes, wow, the three main women in this film are incredible! Such a phenomenal cast and all of them do all…

  • Encanto

I am so glad that this film is now loved by so many people and is so popular! I love it so much and rewatching it was so much fun! We Don’t Talk About Bruno is still my favourite song to ever exist! 💛💚

  • Wish Dragon

    Wish Dragon

It has taken me ages to get around to watching this film for reasons I have no idea! I was very keen to watch it as I love animated films, it looked funny and the animation was so eye popping! And while it’s not the most amazing animated film ever, it’s very strong!

What I see people mostly talk about when it comes to this film is how it compares to Aladdin! Because the story is very similar! And some…

  • Doctor Who: Eve of the Daleks

Doctor Who: Eve of the Daleks

While 2021’s Doctor Who: Flux wasn’t all that’s great, I can safely say that the 2022 New Years Special, Doctor Who: Eve of the Daleks was really good in my opinion! I found this episode to be extremely funny, especially with the inclusion of Ailsing Bea, she was fantastic! The concept was so interesting with a time loop and I really like how they added their own twists to the concept to make it different! And something finally happens that fans of…

  • Jane Eyre

    Jane Eyre

I have to study this book soon so decided to watch the film to understand the story and characters! And Jane Eyre isn’t a bad film by any means, it’s very well made! But I’m not a huge fan of period dramas and this tended to drag on with people delivering monologues full of metaphors! Also I can’t stand Mr. Rochester!

I really like this film from a stylistic stand point! Gorgeous locations, architecture, costumes and production design! It’s a very…

  • Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts

The perfect way to start off 2022! If you couldn’t already tell by my username, Harry Potter is my absolute favourite thing in the world! It was my childhood and I’ve been obsessed for about ten years now! I can safely and truthfully say that I have no idea of the person I’d be if not for Harry Potter! And this 20th anniversary reunion special just sort of showcases why, not just me, but why so many people adore this…
