Matt Neglia’s review published on Letterboxd:
Aside from a few dazzling moments & a wonderfully diverse cast, ETERNALS mostly disappointed me. The story is an expository convoluted mess as it jumps through time & multiple continents with an uneven tone throughout. Stumbles quite a bit but finally picked itself up in time for the third act. Ramin Djawadi’s score soars but Chloé Zhao’s distinctive style is sadly absent. I genuinely liked a few members of the cast, some more than others, but Gemma Chan’s emotional performance was the highlight for me. And when it came to the humor, it didn’t land as well for me as it had with other MCU films but when it did it was mostly because of Kumail Nanjiani’s Bollywood star, Kingo.
