This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

A warm tribute to a kind of relationship I feel like lots of us have stuffed way in the back of a mental drawer: the ill-advised crush turned briefly, oddly, achingly mutual, transmuted not into a romantic relationship but into an ambiguous, charged entanglement.

Alana's reluctant seduction by Gary in the first few scenes strikes me as incredibly psychologically realistic. She outlines a boundary upfront and continues verbally repeating it, but by her actions edges toward it out of curiosity.…

Thankfully, Denis Villeneuve’s broodingly magisterial sensibility is the perfect match for Frank Herbert’s strange and overpoweringly dense saga, and he balances all the brutal grandeur and doomed atmosphere such an epic commands with a visceral, psychotropic sensation that only further engrosses you in the world being built. Timothée Chalamet is meanwhile developing into one of the most compelling actors of his generation, and this Part One surrounds him with a cast perfectly attuned to the film’s grand, swelling rhythms. Immersive, imaginative, highly momentous, and damn near perfect in its way.

Does that sci-fi/fantasy thing where every eighth word is a made-up nonsense word BUT Denis keeps it all super focused and clear. I couldn’t follow the book (okay, audiobook, but still!), but this was sensical and exciting. Looks great, sounds great, feels great.

Did you know that Emily Blunt's character wears pants?

Adventures in exploration and treasure hunting are one of my favorite kinds of story, so I definitely enjoyed "Jungle Cruise" simply because of what it is. I always want more like this! However, comparisons to "Indiana Jones", "The Mummy", and "Pirates of the Caribbean"... just stop. It does some of the things those films do, but every single one is of lesser quality. Still a fun romp that families will have…

An absolutely unprecedented feat of filmmaking - and quite possibly Barry Jenkins’ magnum opus. It’s honestly almost impossible to sum up my thoughts in a way that isn’t utterly incoherent. I’m simply left gobsmacked by the glorious storytelling on display and Jenkins’ ability to properly portray the staggering pains of slavery while always highlighting the heart of his protagonists above all else, honoring their humanity amidst all the horror they endure.

In addition, he’s assembled one of the most captivating…

#MarvelousandtheBlackHole is a creative, Stylistic, and unique film that dissects grief in an imaginative way that touched me in an eye opening way. Remember the name Miya Cech best breakthrough performance of #Sundance2021 Yet. Truly Magical

this was so charming and full of life, radiating a contagious energy that hooked me immediately. in an age where so many children-lead movies contain lame storylines and clichés that might amuse younger audiences but mean very little to adults, it's nice to find a children's film that can truly be enjoyed by people of all ages. truly one of the most pleasant surprises of the festival

A really sweet story about a young girl and older woman turned magician who connect and help each other find what they’re looking for. I had a little tear come down my cheek by the end

honestly i’ve been to these retreats. when you go to catholic school these are not OPTIONAL. I found myself zoning out during this because thats what i did my entire life during these preachy abstinence lectures. religion is whack, out of date, and perpetuates sexism! at least from my experience... anyway good movie, accurate movie.

    This film is important.

Everyone running their mouths about pedophilia needs to calm down and watch the film before making assumptions based on poor marketing.

In a lot of ways, this film reminds me of For My Sister (Á ma soeur!). Is this film easy to watch? No, not at all. But does it shed light on an important aspect of society that is effecting younger generations? Yes.

This film really struck a chord with me. Especially having two younger…
