I have not seen Hereditary yet so this is my first Ari Aster experience. Totally calm and chill experience in every way...
Pugh is so, so good and really carries the movie, which explores grief, isolationism, and finding comfort and solace in a group of people (ANY group of people apparently) in a really compelling way.
It's maybe 20-30 minutes too long, the PhD drama really doesn't do it for me, and I could go for 50% less of Poulter's character. This is the first movie I've seen Jack Reynor in, and I enjoyed him quite a bit. Interested to check out more of his roles.
