Criterion collection. I liked this horror movie, told from the viewpoint of ‘Ro’. Mia Farrow was only 23 when she filmed this, with John Cassavetes almost 40 as her onscreen husband, Guy. Polanski is good at subtly revealing the characters, the way Guy is feeling disappointed at not getting a role, and the way he reacts to his later success, while acting more distant around Ro. Ro’s suspicions grow gradually, so you go along with her actions each step of the way. Repulsion has many similar tension building.
