NiffNiffler’s review published on Letterboxd:
Incredibly visceral scenes on the front lines. All of the grime, dirt, and grit can be felt and I also like how it continues to show on the coats and uniforms. There is also one moment reminiscent of the first time the T-Rex shows up in Jurassic Park that might have been my favourite part of the film.
As for the time between action sequences: I really think they are the weaker part of the film, which somewhat aids the message of the soldiers being dispensable, but on the other hand really didn't work for viewer engagement, as I simply kept waiting for the next scene on the battlefield. The score is really uninspired, as well.
Really wish a cinema near me would have shown this, because I would have loved to experience those battle scenes on the big screen.
