"some people take a limo for prom, we take a limo for an abortion."
between this and never rarely sometimes always, i'm so happy that these stories of abortion rights and teen pregnancy are finally being told in a digestible, non-fear mongering way. though this isn't even close to as a strong a film as the latter, unpregnant is still a very sweet and touching film that is able to tell a serious story through the lens of a teen comedy. the friendship between the two main characters is so heartwarming and realistic, and the performances are all charming (including a surprise cameo from giancarlo esposito as a knife wielding, pro choice limo driver). it's far from perfect but it's sweet, and i'm glad films like this are being made!
