  one of the things that this movie did so right was portraying that one very awful part of early teenage social anxiety where you can never say exactly what you mean. you never feel comfortable talking in public because you can't say just what you want, and know that if you tried that it would come off as weird, offensive, or worse- not be understood by anyone outside of your head. big respect to elsie fisher for being able to pull off that natural nervous energy on screen. my sad middle school/high school self could have used the rep. <3
