  Edgar G. Ulmer’s Italian cheapo epic Hannibal might not have the proper budget for the story being told, but is a well-told, gritty and quite action-packed sword and sandal flick.

  I mean, it’s an odd movie. Not sure what to make of it, except that I enjoyed it a lot. Part soap opera, part camp, comedy, drama - some kind of weird take on Italian melodramas? However, one would be completely heartless to not like it. Hell, I even adored Jared Leto’s BIZARRE performance. And truth be told, Lady Gaga is fucking brilliant in it. Seriously.
