"I have nothing to prove to you."
Captain Marvel is proof that the Marvel movies need more cats.
In all seriousness, this movie is really hampered by its main premise, namely Carol's inability to remember her past. Instead of allowing her to be a fully-formed character, it relegates her to being nothing more than a plot device, one without a whole lot of personality (at least for most of the film). Brie Larson is a great actress, but she just doesn't have a whole lot to sink her teeth into here. Her scenes with Sam Jackson shine, and it makes me realize that this could have been a great movie had it been allowed to fully form, but as it stands this is really just a lead-up to Endgame. Fun, but not one of Marvel's more memorable entries.
