Noah Kern’s review published on Letterboxd:
I knew I’d been wanting to rewatch this for a little while, and since it has been about a year since I first watched it, I thought now would be as good a time as ever. I still think it’s far from PTA’s best, but I liked it way more than the first time. It’s so complex and jam-packed with ideas that it starts to feel overstuffed, but Anderson just has sooooo much to say. That said, it never really feels all that messy either. All the storylines are cohesive and connect in an interesting way. Every performance is great, particularly Cruise and Walters. I still don’t think it’s on the same level at TWBB and The Master, but I do have an appreciation for it that I didn’t the first time around.
