Noah Kern’s review published on Letterboxd:
For some reason, the first time I watched this I hadn’t seen a single episode prior to it. I’d been aware it was one of the highest rated documentaries on all of Letterboxd and I wanted to watch it and like the idiot that I am, I skipped over every other episode. Nonetheless, I loved it, but not as much as I could’ve. I decided to go through the whole show over the past few months (I’m a slow TV watcher) and I finally got back here. Needless to say, this is one of the best pieces of television of the last decade. It’s funny, it’s insightful, and it’s really moving. It’s interesting to see Nathan do the same things as he normally does, but in a completely different settings. He’s still pulling the same type of schemes, but he’s actually use it for some real good. If you haven’t watched this show already, it’s about time you get around to it because it’s simply one of the funniest shows ever. Also, since Fielder is producing How to With John Wilson, I just want to say I fucking love that show. It’s one of the best things currently on. It’s so weird and different from other shows and I really can’t get enough of it. Obviously, the rating only applies to Finding Frances, but I just wanted to get a chance to say how good that show is.
