Noah Kern’s review published on Letterboxd:
I definitely enjoyed watching this, and I thought there were plenty of funny jokes, but god damn it is poorly made. It feels like they didn’t plan out any of this. Not a single shot feels storyboarded. I know this is the kind of brand of movie where you sort of do it all on the fly, but this just feels like they didn’t care. On top of that, it’s not well edited. Still, I enjoyed myself. If you can forgive that, there’s some great stuff in here. Obviously, it’s funny to see Ferrell and Reilly play man-children and it feels like a premise that would be pretty hard to mess up. Plus, Adam Scott and Kathryn Hahn get some pretty good bits and all in all, this a great time if you can just block out the filmmaking.
