First of all, can I just say what a shame it is that this house no longer exists.
Second of all, I feel like many of the themes in this film aged beautifully, and it offers a very interesting reflection on the silent film industry and an introspective look at how the movie industry would develop into the 1950s. The casting choices, particularly of Gloria Swanson, given her cinematic history, gave the film depth.
Third of all, Primadonna by Marina and The Diamonds came on shuffle immediately after I finished it and I can't think of a more suited song for this movie.
