Nolan’s review published on Letterboxd:
ari aster is easily my favorite technical filmmaker. as weird as it might sound, i connect with his shot framing, composition, pacing, and every dialogue choice more than anyone else working today. this is easily my favorite of the year to date (as was hereditary last year, turns out the guy’s good), and i can’t wait for the rest of aster and pugh’s respective careers.
side note: “oh fuck, a new person” is my favorite line delivery in a long time
