Simply the most fun I've had in the cinema since a Geek Night screening of Flash Gordon last year. Joyous!
The last of my vhs blowout, and whit a fitting final film. A stupid insurance salesman gets caught in a Harlem tower block after dark, in the 80′s! Disaster! He will probably get body-popped tae death. He has tae survive the night, wi help fae Ray Parker Jr and Jan Michael Vincent. The local gang ‘The Vampires’ are shifty types. It’s no’ The Raid, but its fun, in a cheesy way.
BLUE HEAT: Brian Dennehey is the leader of a team of undercover narcotics cops in this ‘classic’ fae 1990. His team are set up and huv tae prove their innocence (of course) It’s the usual formula of shootouts, car chases and a Lethal Weapon inspired guitar solo filled soundtrack. The supporting cast including Bill Paxton, Joe Pantoliano and Jeff Daniels make it better than it should be. And Dennehy is a legend. Oh fun fact alert! This was called LAST OF THE FINEST in Americanland.
