#19 in my 80's Week marathon. (I am in awe of weeks... yet I cannot be loyal to them; I'm too busy burning to death. Not that I can see time passing anyway with this airtight cheesecloth on my head.)

Brian Cox is awful as Hannibal Lecter. (Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks this.) And William Petersen is a goofy fuck. But the rest is jaw-dropping. Outstanding. Is one single frame outside of Lecter's cell wasted? My eyes. My ears. This movie is like candy if candy were nutritional and health food if health food were loaded with sugar.
