This movie was a TRIP.
All the magic of Halloween is gone.
There’s a good story here. Every scene with Laurie I found quite intriguing, but it was outweighed by the CW inspired teen slasher that half of this movie was with its cheap humor of potty mouthed children and dads who trip balls on payote.
What was so enamoring of the original Halloween was the fear. The tension. The fact that there were only five murders throughout the entire movie. It wasn’t a blood…
A rather generic, perfectly adequate biopic that is decent but ultimately fails to fully connect with its audience. Instead, Bohemian Rhapsody seems formulaic and that it’s more concerned with ticking off the boxes of its to do list rather than evoking genuine emotion from the audience or shedding much light on the enigmatic lead singer of Queen.
