I genuinely wonder if the media outlets suddenly proclaiming this an "underrated cult hit" (like, in the past week, all of a sudden?) are being paid off by Fox-Disney. This movie was hot garbage, and it's pretty obvious that that's why it took so long to release. Do not fall for the astroturfing marketing campaign.
How had I not heard of this series until 2020??

Highlights: the soundtrack, Pretzel Jack (and his human counterpart Troy James), Fiona Shaw, Brandon Scott, Pretzel Jack, Maria Sten, Krisha Fairchild, Rutger Hauer, Diana Bentley, Olivia Luccardi & Holland Roden as a duo, John Carroll Lynch, and of course, Pretzel Jack.
It was disturbing. WHAT ELSE? It was unflinching. WHAT ELSE? It was brutalizing, violent, and intense. WHAT ELSE? What. added. value. does. this. film. bring. to our awareness of the horrors that have been visited upon Aboriginal people and women throughout history? You need to have actual DEPTH to justify this kind of filmmaking as more than an exploitation film. Seriously, how are we supposed to be changed or moved by the end of this? My expectations were high going…
