Earlier yesterday, I had a critique in my Intro to Photo class. One of my photos was of a sign at a fair downtown. The sign was on a tent, and there were some people in front of the tent. My professor referred to it as a documentary image. I had never thought of documentary of photography in that way, but it was true, the photo was a moment in time, unobstructed, unedited, untouched.
