    This is so dear to me. Never had a gay film encapsulated all my high school memories in an hour and a half. The forbidden love for a straight (best)friend, the foreboding threat of his actual relationship, the downside that is flunking your academics just to give his a boost, and of course, the hurtful ending. It's as if Leste Chen experienced all of this in his youth and made us dwell in his suffering as well.

    needed this cinematic hug. a blast from my 8th grade past, simpler times, smaller problems. this movie never ceases to amaze me, and i'm glad i got to see it in the big screen this time after rewatching it a thousand times.
