Ah the good old days when we were allowed to laugh at kidnapping and sexual assault. A true time capsule for that era in the best way. It’s genuinely funny and has a lot of heart.

Mannequin Two: On the Move 1991
I think I watched this before the first one and I remember that opening scene so well. Much more of a straightforward comedy and not a romance movie.
Jessie sports an iconic 90s meets the middle ages super long mullet. Unfortunately they take away all of the agency Kim Cattrall had and here Kristy Swanson is much more of a typical damsel in distress. Hollywood has a much more prominent role than in the last one and its a pleasure to watch.
It’s a very cute movie and I think they made the right move going in a totally different direction with this one.

Halloween Ends 2022
Truly baffling movie. A mistake was made at every single turn. They made Michael lame, they made Laurie lame. All the townspeople are the biggest assholes you’ve ever met. Just an overall bore. The first 90 minutes play out like a failed TV adaptation made for the CW.
Edit: I forgot to mention that people at my showing clapped at the end but I don’t know if it was cause they liked it or they were just happy it was over.

Scream VI 2023
Everything a Scream movie should be. While the opening sequence could have been a bit more fleshed out, this whole thing is such a wild ride and soo much fresher, funner and better than 5. Leaving Woodsboro was an excellent choice and they really make the most of the NYC setting.
There’s so many set pieces that keep you on the edge of your seat and that finale was incredible. They’re building something slightly different here with the group dynamic…
