An intriguing mix between THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER and the 'FALLEN' trilogy: submarine battles and a kidnapped president. Just fantastic. I was also pleased to see Toby Stephens and Michael Gorevoy outside DIE ANOTHER DAY.
For some it may be the least liked Harry Palmer movie, but to me it's almost the best. It lacks the sophistication of THE IPCRESS FILE and goes for an extravagant world domination threat. In a way, BILLION DOLLAR BRAIN is to Harry Palmer whan YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE was to the James Bond franchise (curiously, both were released the same year and by United Artists).
