Spring Breakers makes a case against the youth culture and its vapid selfishness.
A mindless mob of self indulgences on repeat.
Rinse, lather and repeat.
Now, when I saw the director's name I thought, well at least a female made the film that has an abundance of female nudity instead of just some guy having half naked girls gyrating in bikinis in slow motion...until I looked up Harmony Korine to see it I'd seen any other of HER films only to find out Harmony is a male.
I had see Mr. Korine's "Gummo" but didn't like it.
What Spring Breakers has going for it is the cool factor and a great performance by James Franco who has very quotable lines.
I have a feeling I would like this film more after a second viewing.
