Are some films so forgettable your subconscious allows the memory to simply pass? Not store for later, just plain old clean slate zero recollection and not something you watched eons ago but the last ten. I can't recollect Turistas , The Ruins, The Collector, Shrooms, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, See No Evil or a host of other 2000's horror fluff.
The same could be said for Freddy vs. Jason. I'm glad my brain made the wise choice to sieve this lightweight piece of garbage out for something more useful. I have no affinity for elm street but I love six, eight and, to a lesser degree, three from Voorhees' run. This lightweight mash up trashes both franchises; it's cheap looking, sloppily written, painfully aware, poorly acted and while featuring a few gory highlights is surprisingly lacking in fun.
Two stars for effort and boobage.
