You know who would say this movie is an absolute delight? Trish

Southland Tales 2006
Cannes Cut
Ambitious, never boring, and too hard to summarize. I truly don't understand the hate for this one, but I think it probably resonates more in 2021 than people thought it ever would back in 2006.Never been much of a Moby guy, but his score here (with Memory Gospel in particular) shines.

Wonder Woman 1984 2020
Rhonda Byrne (The Secret) should sue for a writing credit. I can't believe the difference in quality between the first movie and this one, wow.

Batman Returns 1992
The best Tim Burton movie.
The best Batman movie.
A Damn good Christmas movie.
A perfect movie to reflect the shitshow of 2020.(And the past 4 years to be honest) -

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm 2020
I never saw the first one, and wasn't expecting to enjoy this one. Oh man, was I wrong.
Probably the most I've laughed in 2020, so much laughing that the sequence after the cupcake made me shoot Diet Dr Pepper out of my nose.

I'm Thinking of Ending Things 2020
Not even attempting to give this a star rating without a rewatch.

Great chemistry between her and Sandberg, and the way they play off each other absolutely makes the movie. Skipping over or playing with the time loop tropes doesn't hurt either.
And in true time loop fashion, I rewatched it the same day.

Josie and the Pussycats 2001
I was not aware there were two different cuts of this until now. I'd only seen the "family friendly" cut, so imagine my surprise at all these new(to me) scenes, ESPECIALLY at the Carson Daly bit.
A perfect time capsule of early 2000s style, and the soundtrack still fucking rules.
"Josie and the Pussycats Is the greatest movie ever! Join the army!"

Crash 1996
Turbine 4K Remaster
The whole of this movie is "cold", much like the chilly metal of the cars that crash into (or drive apart) the players in Cronenberg's 1996 film.
That sentiment extends to the multiple sex scenes, probably the coldest depiction of sex I've seen to date on film...but that just makes it even more fascinating to watch.
(Though the sex is devoid of any passion, Spader is somehow more attractive here than he was in "sex lies, and…
