Bozo mode version of Safe. Pretty funny at times, could have been grosser.

The moment I saw this existed i knew I had to do it for Hooptober lmao.

Shockingly similar narratively to school slashers of the 80's with its "horrible tragic in the past now leading to people getting picked off one by one in the present" kind of story (think Prom Night, Slaughter High, etc). Some what of a nostalgic watch given the shift in what B-Movies are in the past few decades but man, this movie…

Absolutely knows the audience it's aiming for, I mean if I was a horny teenager in the early 90's I would have worn out my copy lmao. One of those "films" that most likely should have been left to be a forgotten memory of the era it was released in but instead ended up with an etensive blu ray release chock full of bonus material (there are two commentaries on this thing for fuck sakes!!!) and three different picture resolution options. We truly are in the golden age of physical media folks lmao.

A little aimless narratively but the movie looks great and Crystal and Hines are spectacular together. Very fun time, should have gotten like 12 sequels like most Buddy Cop films of the time.

Absolutely fascinated by the decision to continue 15 years and a collective 11 seasons of two different animated series like this. I don't care what Kathleen Kennedy might say in some press thing, there is no way this would make any sense for someone who doesn't know these characters. As someone though who not only watched all of the cartoons this continues but also loves them the only thing I get out of any of this is second hand embarrassment.…

    Hooptober X: Film #13

An incredibly well constructed gimmick, some really fun creature designs, a spectacular lead performance, and just an all around blast of a thriller.

Really sad that during the current weekend fucking Expendables 4 is the biggest theatrical release while this fresh and original little thriller is dumped on Hulu with basically no marketing. I fucking hate streaming and it's killing the landscape of film as a whole, this film deserved so much better.
