“I don’t think Tony would have done what he did, if he didn’t know you were going to be here after he was gone”

While it’s far from perfect (pun intended), Spider-Man: Far From Home is one of the web-heads best outings and falls into the upper echelon of MCU movies. The film understands the core essence of Peter Parker/Spider-Man and deeply explores and even questions his mantra of ‘with great power comes great responsibility’ in a way no film has done since Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2. The film is anchored by another terrific and surprisingly emotional performance by Tom Holland, who constantly proves that he’s the best Spider-Man we’ve ever had. The supporting cast is stellar with Zendaya shining as MJ but most of the applause will rightfully go to Jake Gyllenhaal who is sensational as Mysterio; easily the highlight of the movie. Despite some dodgy CGI/green screen and a shaky first act, Far From Home is an absolute delight that manages to mix together emotion, heart and stakes to make a delicious Spider-Man cake and it’s jaw dropping post-credit scene is just the icing on top.
