  • The Princess

    The Princess 2022

★★★★ Watched by Neil Miller 03 Jul 2022

Finally, a movie that explores how the fairy tale would be different if the princess in the tower also had the skill set of a medieval John Wick. It’s a fun concept that deserved a bigger budget and a theatrical release.

  • Burn After Reading

    Burn After Reading 2008

★★★★ Rewatched by Neil Miller 02 Jul 2022

Every actor in this movie showed up and gave the Coen brothers 110%.

  • Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey

    Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey 1991

★★★ Rewatched by Neil Miller 07 Jun 2022

There's some genuine nightmare fuel in this film, and that's part of its charm.

  • RRR

    RRR 2022

★★★★★ Rewatched by Neil Miller 05 Jun 2022

An unstoppable freight train filled with pure movie magic.

  • Top Gun: Maverick

    Top Gun: Maverick 2022

★★★★★ Watched by Neil Miller 30 May 2022

As a fan of Oblivion, I'm not surprised in the least that Cruise and director Joseph Kosinski made a Top Gun sequel that will absolutely blow the doors off of every theater in the world.

    A magnificent ride.

  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 2022

★★★½ Watched by Neil Miller 08 May 2022

Sam Raimi was able to sneak in enough of his personality to make this enjoyable. And it looks significantly better than Marvel’s last blockbuster.

  • The Northman

    The Northman 2022

★★★★ Watched by Neil Miller 14 May 2022

An extremely dirty movie on a bunch of different levels.

  • The Island

    The Island 2005

★★★½ Rewatched by Neil Miller 09 Apr 2022

Continues to be underrated to this day.

  • Ambulance

    Ambulance 2022

★★★★ Watched by Neil Miller 05 Apr 2022

A hyperactive, adrenaline-fueled thrill ride about how the for-profit American Healthcare system is the real villain. The Oscar campaign starts now.

  • Spider-Man: No Way Home

    Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021

★½ Watched by Neil Miller 20 Mar 2022

It works better if you think of it as more like an elaborate stage play than a film. The worst-looking superhero film of the century so far.

  • The Worst Person in the World

The Worst Person in the World 2021

★★★★★ Watched by Neil Miller 07 Feb 2022

    **screams in millennial**
    You should see this movie!
    Renate Reinsve Is a revelation!

  • Ghostbusters: Afterlife

    Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2021

★★ Watched by Neil Miller 25 Jan 2022

Between Muncher stealing the film and enjoying some (but definitely not all!) of the nostalgia bait, I wasn’t entirely displeased.
