I love the original Hellraiser, I've also read Clive Barker's book, on which it and the sequel are based. The standards were set extraordinarily high for David Bruckner's reimagined horror - despite the fact that horror-remakes on the whole are bad. Bad bad bad. Jurassic Park is a masterpiece of science fiction adventure filmmaking. The Lost World is fine. JP3 is trash. Jurassic World is not for people my age, it's for kids, who seemingly adored it. I completely forgot Fallen Kingdom existed and was surprised to find I'd logged it already. Dominion extended cut is dumb, slightly nostalgia baiting, but crucially it's never boring. Fin.
I kind of thought it would be a mindless action film where Sly goes around killing the bad guys in the jungle with his machine gun and that's about it. Like Predator, I guess, just without the Predator.
