tick, tick...BOOM!

tick, tick...BOOM!

Surprisingly, I was really into this! Garfield is obviously phenomenal, but the whole cast (ESPECIALLY Robin de Jesús) works super well.

My only real issues come from Lin Manuel Miranda’s direction. I think he’s good enough with actors, and he can sometimes get some really good shots from Alice Brooks, but the editing is a bit jarring, often breaking the immersion. On a couple of occasions it also seems as though he’s completely flipped the shot? There’s a really glaring example of that in Boho Days, which sucks because I actually like that scene a lot.

Also the Sunday cameos are cool, but that scene does not look great. That artificial daylight REALLY does not work at all.
